THERAPEUTIC APPROACH/WHAT TO EXPECT
While there is still much to learn, her journey thus far has taught Jody three things: life isn’t always fair, easy, or predictable. To facilitate the template for positive therapeutic endeavors, Jody helps the client move forward with a fresh perspective on life’s challenges. She creates a safe place of acceptance and respect, encouraging clients to work toward solutions incorporating identified strengths and resources. Jody primarily uses an integrative, hope-focused approach based upon the cognitive-behavioral treatment model. This provides the framework for constructing, and then accomplishing, targeted goals for personal growth and desired change.
Jody and her husband have chosen to make their home in the Bartlesville area after a career of moving multiple places, multiple times: Texas, Colorado, Montana, Oklahoma, and Australia. They have 4 adult children, currently scattered across the U.S., and they plan to visit their family often. In her spare time, Jody enjoys hiking, fly-fishing, and gardening. Number one on her bucket list is zinging across as many ziplines as possible, in as many places as possible, until she runs out of energy.
